Yori is late for class!
Move through the hallways and grab all the books you need for the day's lectures. Watch out for the hall monitor, if they notice Yori, she might faint from the stress!
My contribution
My primary contribution was the enemy AI. It was programmed to use "cornerstones" as the basis for its patrol route. The designer could assign these cornerstones in the order they wanted the enemy to patrol them in and the enemy would move along that path. The movement of the enemy was tied to the amount of steps the player took. The amount of steps the player took in one action is reflected in the enemy, which simulates it's movement in the same amount of steps before visually changing it's position to be at the final position in the simulation.
Info
Yori is the first project I worked on at Futuregames in 2023.
It was a grid turn-based stealth game made in Unity by a team of 9 people over the course of 3 weeks.
I was responsible for the enemy AI and level system.
The player was able to move in 1-4 spaces on the grid in the cardinal directions, for each step they took, the patrolling enemies took the same amount on their patrol route.
Reflections
This was the first larger project I had made in collaboration with other people in Unity. I was still familiarizing myself with the engine and the C# language but went in with the mindset to learn as much as I could.
